KMEL,
Dr. Rosché summarizes and furthers the
discussion… Check It Out!!!
Over the past few years in the increase and growth of technology, especially smartphones, we have been given the ability to play games, catch sport scores, count calories, pay bills, update social media and a plethora of other things at the palm of our hands. Everything has been made easy to us through the use of Applications aka APPs. This year my Pastor Bishop Keith L. Clark (BKLC), has decided that we will begin to do some WORK spiritually and psychologically to make our lives better by Downloading APPs every week throughout the year of 2015 year.
APPs = Applying Positive Practices
“Apply
the Positive Practice of FAITHFULNESS this week.”
Do not be afraid of what you
are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to
test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to
the point of death, and I will give you life as your victor’s crown.
Revelation 2:10
FAITHFULNESS happens “Doing What is Right in every situation or season”
~Bishop Keith L. Clark (BKLC)
Dr. Rosché says: in order to
successfully be faithful or do what’s right in every situation it’s important
to understand your decision making process.
Dr. Marsha Linehan discusses how one’s logical mind, emotional mind come together to
create wise mind
We all make decisions based on our perspective of the world,
people, and ourselves. This perspective
is shaped by our environment, experiences, and interactions. This means that we are limited in our knowledge
of how to do what’s right in every situation especially when it’s a new
situation that we have never been exposed to before.
In order to be Faithful you must…
Know What
to Do in every situation. In a life full of so much to do we can often end
up on autopilot, which means Doing without Thinking. Therefore,
it’s most important for us to take a Moment
to think about a situation in order for us respond
instead of react to situations. So what do we do in this moment? We consult, consult, and consult some more. We ask
God, our pastor, our friend, trusted confidant, our therapist, or a book what
should I do in this situation? Help me to weigh out the pros and cons or
benefits and consequences to my decisions.
Remember
when you do what’s Right you’ll have no Regrets: It requires a level of Maturity to begin to do
what’s right in every situation. In my
work with adolescence or even younger children, they often say “I don’t feel
like going to school, doing my homework, cleaning my room, being nice to
him/her, etc…” This makes sense for children but now you
are an adult and still reacting off of feelings
instead of facts. Time to ask yourself… Do I need to Mature in this situation? Do I need to trust God and do what’s right
even if it is going to give me temporary emotional pain? Remember: You can never go wrong if you
are in the Will of God. In the Words of
Karen Clark Sheard “the safest place in the whole wide world, is in the WILL of
God.”
Right eventually always Wins: When you
make the choice to do what’s right you may experience temporary loss but long-term
gain. It can be hard to start making the right
choice after you have made so many wrong choices. You may find that you may loose some people
in your life that you thought were very important to you, but Remember “when
God shuts one door, He opens another.” Trust Him.
I know it’s WORK and it’s easier to
continue to do the same thing over and over again because you and Drama have become such close
friends over the years, but break yourself from this friend and introduce
yourself to some new friends named Peace,
Hope, and Success. Nobody say it
would be easy, but God hasn’t brought you this far to LEAVE you. Remember to
ask for HIS Guidance in
beginning this process. I am here for
you too and I’m willing to answer any questions you may have about what hinders
you to make progress in this area.
